The DGA Tour

No Shoes, No Problem
The Pine Hill Thrill delivered exactly what the name promised: wild swings, unexpected finishes, and the kind of chaotic scorecards that only the DGA Tour can produce. With handicap scoring debuting for the first time this season, Harry Gilmore shocked the league with a net 66 (-6) to earn his first DGA Tour victory—barefoot, of course. His 84 gross and two clutch birdies put him atop the leaderboard and earned him both prize money and side bet riches. Mike McGuire chipped in his first-ever birdie en route to a career-best second place, and a three-way tie for third included steady showings from Trevor Monk, Jack Spence, and Will Eyman.

While the top was competitive, the storylines ran deep. Kyler Messner posted the second-lowest gross score but couldn’t climb the board with his 5 handicap, and Seth Paszke may have broken a record with 42 putts despite striking the ball well. Auston Sorg turned in a baffling card with 3 birdies and 9 doubles, while Gianni Young found more warmth in Harry’s hands than in his golf game. With Athletic Brewing Company sponsoring the event and Pine Hill offering no mercy, the standings have shifted once again—and the race for the DGA Tour trophy is officially wide open.
