What is the DGA Tour?
The DGA Tour is a traveling golf league focused on courses near Lancaster. The tour consists of 11 events- 5 Regular events, 4 Majors, 1 Tour Championship, followed by the Ryder Cup. Players will earn points based on their place on the leaderboard, and the top 3 players for each event will earn prize money. The tour will follow a Fedex Cup style format and will utilize a handicap system to allow for fair competition.
What is the Pay-in Price and what does it cover?

$100 entry fee

This fee does not cover green fees for any of the tour events, tour members are expected to pay for each round upon arrival.

This fee covers payouts for the entire season. Payouts were calculated based on a 16 member league, and may be adjusted accordingly as members join.

All payments must be turned in prior to the first event.
Is there a handicap system?

The first two events of the season will be straight up match play, with no handicap system.

We will use the scores from the first two events to create the handicap for the season.

The handicap system will begin starting the third event, and continue the remainder of the season.

A player’s handicap will continue to update after each round, and will be applied to the next event.

Any player not participating in the first two events will need to golf an additional round to calculate their handicap prior to event 3.
How do we keep track of scores?

The league will operate through the 18Birdies app.

All players are required to enter their scores on 18Birdies. This will allow for a live leaderboard throughout the round, and will keep results for the season long Fedex Cup Race.
How do players receive points?

Players will earn points for their placement on the leaderboard for each event.

Players that compete in the event will earn points. Absent players do not receive any points for unattended events.

These points will add up all season and provide starting points for members in the Tour Championship.
What if I can't play the date of the event?

To ensure we all can get the most out of the season, players are able to complete their round up to one week prior to the scheduled event.

Once the scheduled event has concluded, the results are final and no individual scores will be accepted.

Any and all individual rounds that are played outside of the tour group must be done so in an honorable and honest manner. Scoring conflicts may result in temporary or permanent suspension from the league.

You will be asked to commit to each event two weeks prior to the scheduled tee time. This information will be used to confirm tee times with courses. Any individual rounds should be clarified at this time.
What are the playing rules?

Each player receives a breakfast ball on hole 1.

Players are allowed to move their ball the length of the grip for each shot (excluding greenside shots).

Ball in hole- no gimmes.

Each player has one mulligan per 18 holes that can only be used on a tee shot.
