The Road to Virtues: DGA Tour Unveils 2025 Season Schedule

Updated: Apr 5

The stage is set. The courses are locked in. The race for DGA Tour glory officially begins on April 19 as the 2025 DGA Tour schedule has been unveiled, featuring a dynamic mix of challenging layouts, marquee events, and a season-ending showdown at Virtues Golf Club.

The 12-event slate will take players across some of Ohio’s finest tracks, with a balanced combination of five regular-season stops, four high-stakes major championships, a critical playoff event, and a finale that will determine who takes home the ultimate prize. Capping off the season is the much-anticipated Ryder Cup, where team competition will take center stage.

A Season of Strategy and Showdowns

Competitors will have to navigate a mix of strategic venues and pressure-packed majors as they battle for FedEx Cup-style points. The journey begins at The View Open at Valley View Golf Course, where players will look to establish early momentum. However, the first true test of the season will come on May 3rd at Eaglesticks Golf Club, host of The Eaglesticks Invitational, the first major of the year, offering increased prize money and critical points.

From there, players will face a steady diet of regular events interspersed with three additional majors: The Westchester Wildcard (June 8), The Masters Tournament (July 12), and The Turnberry Showdown (August 16). These events promise elevated stakes and will play a defining role in shaping the playoff picture.

The Playoff Push and The Road to Virtues

The intensity will reach its peak as the season enters its final stretch. The Denison Cup Playoff (September 13) will serve as a make-or-break moment for players on the bubble, looking to punch their ticket to the DGA Tour Championship (September 27) at Virtues Golf Club. The season-long grind culminates here, with the biggest payout and ultimate bragging rights on the line.

Last season, Trevor Monk claimed the DGA Tour Championship title, ending a long stretch of dominance from his brother, Tyler Monk. The win marked a shift in the competitive landscape, proving that the next wave of challengers is ready to rise. With the 2025 season approaching, all eyes will be on Trevor to see if he can defend his crown or if Tyler will reclaim his spot at the top.

And then, of course, there’s the Ryder Cup (October 11, location TBD). While individual accolades will define much of the season, this team-based battle will cap off the campaign in a unique, high-energy format that never fails to deliver drama.

Payouts and Prestige

The stakes are high, and so is the prize pool. Regular events will reward top finishers with $45 for first place, $35 for second, and $20 for third. However, the majors up the ante, offering $60 to the winner, with second and third place taking home $40 and $20, respectively. The DGA Tour Championship will feature the richest purse of the season, with the champion claiming $250, followed by $100 for second, $50 for third, and $20 for fourth.

With the schedule now set, the countdown is officially on. Who will rise to the occasion? Who will falter under the pressure? And who will etch their name in DGA Tour history? The answers begin to unfold on April 19 at Valley View. The road to Virtues starts now.
