Five events in, and the DGA Tour leaderboard has officially tightened. What began as a one-man race has evolved into a season defined by balance, breakthroughs, and big swings — both on the scorecard and in the standings.
Jack Spence has officially taken over the top spot, collecting his fourth top-5 finish of the year and overtaking Kyler Messner with 273 total points. Spence’s steady hand has been a model of consistency this season: zero triple bogeys across 90 holes, a Tour-best 37 pars, and an 80.8 scoring average that keeps him competitive even on off days. His 10% birdie-or-better rate is third-best on Tour, a key stat given how few big numbers he posts. The haters doubting his win equity post-handicap rollout may need to quiet down — Jack has officially taken control.
Kyler Messner slides to second, but don’t let the drop fool you — Messner is still one of the most dangerous players on Tour. Despite missing one event, he’s racked up two wins and holds the Tour’s best scoring average (78.25), birdie rate (11.11%), and par rate (45.83%). With the most complete advanced profile in the league and a 2nd-place position despite playing one fewer event, he remains the favorite in Vegas.
Trevor Monk continues his breakout season, sitting in third with 244 points. After a career-best 75 at the Donatos Shootout, Monk now has three top-5 finishes and has established himself as one of the Tour’s most explosive players. His 33 pars and 6 birdies are impressive, but what stands out most is his ability to string together dominant stretches — including a six-hole stretch at Donatos where he went -2 in brutal conditions. Monk ranks third in scoring average (82.80), and his raw power is quickly translating to real results.

Auston Sorg holds fourth place with 232 points after another top-5 finish. He’s proven himself as a grinder, 3rd in the league in double bogeys (20) but also limiting triples to just two across five events. Sorg ranks in the top half of the league in birdies and continues to hang around thanks to mental toughness and strong back-nine performances.
Tied at 208 points are Mike and Shea McGuire, who couldn’t be more different statistically. Mike’s game is chaotic brilliance — just 3 birdies all season but 7 triple bogeys, 21 doubles, and 22 pars. His 92.0 scoring average tells the story of survival. Shea, meanwhile, boasts 25 pars and just one birdie in five events — but he’s first in the league lead in bogeys (46) and owns one of the highest double bogey percentage among all full-timers (17.78%). The McGuires play wildly different styles, but somehow find themselves neck-and-neck in the standings.
Harry Gilmore is making a charge, jumping to 7th place after a controversial but undeniably strong solo round at Donatos. Gilmore’s four events have netted two top-5s, and he now owns the Tour’s fifth-best scoring average (87.0) and a birdie-or-better percentage higher than Shea, Mike, Dylan, and Seth combined. He’s also got the fake media on his back — and he wouldn’t want it any other way.
Will Eyman and Seth Paszke have shown signs of life but remain winless and searching. Eyman’s game is defined by elite iron work but plagued by triples and doubles (8 each). His 90.0 scoring average is solid, but the numbers say he’s leaving strokes out there. Seth is an enigma — 0 birdies, 17 pars, and a scoring average of 92.8. However, his putter is heating up: he shaved five strokes off his putting total at Donatos. A short-game breakout could be around the corner.
Gianni Young rounds out the top 10, and remains one of the more polarizing figures on Tour. He’s tied for fourth in birdies (6), but also has more penalties (6) than anyone not named Dylan. Gianni's bogey-or-better rate is solid (56.96%), but his 93.0 scoring average and double-digit doubles hold him back. Still, the upside is there.
Outside the top 10, Dylan Sharp and Ryan Arter lead the second tier. Dylan’s struggles have been well-documented — a Tour-worst 15 triple bogeys, a scoring average of 97.25, and just 16 pars across 72 holes. Arter, in just two appearances, owns the third-best par rate (44.44%) and lowest triple bogey rate (2.78%), showing major promise if he returns to full-time play.
And finally, Jamichael Billups, the mystery man of the DGA Tour, has only played one event — but in that round, he posted 3 birdies and zero triples. That’s the kind of stat line that could change a season…if he ever returns.
